“I love you not because of who you are,
but because of who I am
when I am with you.”

FAQ About Photo

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING WEDDINGS?

Starting from a young age with a passion for landscape photography and portraiture, it seemed natural to merge the two and shoot weddings! I shot my first wedding 9 years ago in New York and since moving to the roaring fork valley I’ve found the mountains to be the ultimate backdrop to capture the romance and the magic of weddings. I’ve shot almost 100 weddings over the past 6 years since living here and continue to love everyone uniquely.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?

Warm, timeless, romantic and clean. Using natural light as much as possible, I strive to document each wedding to reflect all the true feelings of the day. My background in editorial and studio portrait lighting helps direct my clients subtly through the more structured parts of the event while shooting the day unfold naturally in a photojournalistic approach.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN ALL COLLECTION?

Every wedding that I document is completely unique so I help build the collections around what fits your needs. We offer collections from the rehearsal dinner through the wedding day, engagement sessions, bridal portraits and day after sessions with printing rights to high resolution images and custom designed linen and leather bound albums.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Although the backdrop of Aspen and the surrounding scenic mountain locations feels a little spoiled for choice when it comes to the ultimate wedding destinations, I also LOVE to travel and find it thrilling to work in new locations!

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?

Reach out in our contact section of the website so we may connect from there. I love getting the opportunity to meet before hand for a coffee or cocktail when possible, or at least schedule a phone call to go through your plans and vision in more detail. A signed contract and 50% retainer makes everything official and locks in your wedding date.

HOW DO WE KNOW THAT WE ARE GOOD FIT FOR EACH OTHER?

You know your style better than anyone else. The flow and energy on a wedding day is really valuable so it helps to connect ahead of time for any trace of awkwardness in front of the lens seems to vanish instantly. Getting comfortable in front of the camera during an engagement shoot is super valuable to the process as well.

FAQ About Cinema

WHY SHOULD WE HIRE A CINEMA CREW IF WE ALREADY HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHER?

Every bride has asked herself this question before the wedding day. In my career though, I have come across many married women who mentioned either one of the following two reactions once it was all said and done: “We are SO happy that we ended up getting a videographer and watch our film every year on our anniversary,” or “Look at our photos – they are stunning! Still, our biggest regret was not having hired a videographer to record our vows and those epic speeches during the reception.”

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL BE USED TO RECORD OUR BIG DAY?

Glad you brought this up! Every single piece of gear we own plays an important role in telling your unique story. Without turning your wedding day into a major Hollywood production, we manage to capture stunning looking images seamlessly with a combination of the latest DSLR cameras, stabilizers, drones and miniature audio recorders that easily fit inside the groom’s lapel pocket.

IS HIRING MULTIPLE VIDEOGRAPHERS REALLY NECESSARY?

Short answer: Yes, capturing weddings the way we do is definitely a multiple people task. Imagine how hard it would be for a single shooter to simultaneously run multiple cameras, record external audio, capture steady shots of the bride walking down the aisle AND at the same time record the groom’s reaction during that magical moment – close to impossible! Having said this, when putting together our packages, I have kept couples planning an intimate ceremony or elopement in mind as well, which is much more manageable for a solo shooter.

HOW DO YOU RECORD AUDIO AT EVENTS?

Through a combination of hidden body microphones which pick up intimate conversations, as well as tapping straight into the band’s or DJ’s sound board for speeches and music – all recorded on multiple channels for maximum security. Believe it or not, crystal clear audio plays a much more important role than the actual video when telling a story in a cinematic way.

HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO DELIVER SUCH HIGH PRODUCTION VALUE AT COMPETITIVE RATES?

Notice how I didn’t use the word “cheap” 😉 Just because you tie the knot in the mountains of Colorado does not mean you will get charged painful resort prices to capture one of the most important days of your life. Our rates reflect the intense hours spent planning our shoots, capturing moments that only unfold once and the meticulous time spent editing our couples stories. And since we moved to the Roaring Fork Valley over 6 years ago and call Aspen home, there are no travel fees applied for weddings held near this magical town. Make sure to check out our combo package pricing, which includes both photography AND cinematography for optimal value.
